TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Prior to any agreed activities I will conduct an initial visit so that I can meet your dog, discuss any specific requirements and talk through terms and conditions. This will allow me to tailor activities to the individual and ensure that both parties are happy with all arrangements.
  • All terms and conditions will be deemed accepted and agreed by the owner on signing of the booking form.

WALKING

  • Dogs must be sociable if they are to join group walks but if an issue is declared prior to an initial visit I will be happy to discuss this with you and potentially arrange 1-2-1 walks for your dog. 
  • I reserve the right to cancel the contract at any time and with immediate effect if the dog is not responding well or giving cause for concern. Any initial payments will be refunded.
  • All dogs will be walked on lead unless the owner has agreed to allow off lead activities and a disclaimer on the booking form has been signed. If off lead walking is agreed I will walk your dog on a lead or long line until I am satisfied that recall is established.
  • Dogs will be walked in all weather conditions but I will apply personal judgement if a walk needs to be cut short due to adverse weather conditions that could compromise the safety of me or your dog i.e. thunderstorms or excessive temperatures.
  • Dogs will walked in small controlled social groups up to a maximum of six.
  • All dogs will wear a Woz n Woofs ID tag when in my care. Dogs must also have a suitable collar or harness and wear ID tags with owner’s details. Please advise if any specific equipment is required i.e. muzzle harness etc. These must be in good working order and well fitting.
  • Unfortunately I cannot walk female dogs in season.
  • If your dog is not neutered/spayed I cannot be held responsible if your dog impregnates or is impregnated by other dogs

VACCINATIONS & HEALTH

  • Dogs must have up to date vaccinations and it is recommended that dogs are vaccinated against kennel cough and have regular worming and flea treatment. Any health issues or allergies will need to be disclosed on the initial visit.

INSURANCE    

  • Woz n Woofs has Public Liability Insurance with Protectivity Insurance which covers walking whilst in my care; however Woz n Woofs cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, illness or death of the dog unless due to negligence on my part. Dogs can sometimes sustain minor injuries(cuts,grazes,strains) whilst running around in the parks so it  is recommended that owners will have their own full insurance to cover such eventualities. I reserve the right to refuse a booking for any uninsured dog.
  • Should any legal or other claim be made against your dog or I, with regard to your dog whilst in the care of Woz n Woofs, all costs will be covered by the owner unless due to negligence on my part.

KEYS & PAPERWORK

  • House keys will be securely stored and attached to a novelty key ring which I can distinguish but will not relate to anything on the booking paperwork,If you prefer I can collect keys from a neighbour.
  •  Paperwork relating to your dog is kept separate and secure away from keys. No personal details will be forwarded or passed on to any third party.
  • Due to GDPR (Data Protection regulations) a signature is required on the booking form to say that you allow Woz n Woofs to hold your details and contact you via phone, text, email, Whatsapp and Facebook. These are media platforms I use to keep owners updated.

VETERINARY CARE & FEES

  • The owner is responsible for any veterinary bills incurred and details of your vet must be supplied on the initial visit. In an emergency I will make every attempt to contact the owner and utilise the services of your own vet but reserve the right to make decisions without verbal consent to ensure the immediate welfare of your dog. This may include taking the dog to the nearest veterinary practice and not necessarily your own veterinarian. Owners will be responsible for payment of any veterinary fees.

 DOG TRANSPORTATION

  • Owners are not insured when in my vehicle and you will therefore be traveling at your own risk if you wish to accompany your dog.
  • Dogs will be transported safely and comfortably in a  crated vehicle.

PAYMENT

  • Payment can be made cash or bank transfer. Walk fees are payable on the day if an ad-hoc walk is required or at the end of each week.

 CANCELLATIONS

  • Cancellations must be notified at least 48 hours prior to the agreed booking.
  •  Cancellation on the day is charged in full but will be at my discretion depending on circumstances.  Walks are fully chargeable if I arrive and cannot gain entry through no fault of my own. 
  • I reserve the right to cancel at short notice and if such an eventuality should occur a full refund will be given if any payment has been made in advance.

MY COMMITMENT

  • I agree to adhere to any specific instructions given by the owner.
  • I will take the utmost care of your dog, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times whilst in my care. I will do everything within my power to protect your dog from any danger and will treat your dog with respect and kindness, ensuring that they have the very best experience.
